Jessica Simpson Learns How to Cook to Impress Boyfriend

It's been reported that Jessica Simpson is taking secret cookery lessons so she can serve up a home-cooked meal to boyfriend John Mayer on Valentine's Day. The sultry singer is planning to show off her culinary skills during a planned 10 February get-together with Mayer, who will be touring on St Valentine's Day itself. "She's been taking cooking classes and poring over cookbooks, trying to come up with the perfect meal. I think John will be impressed," a source was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying. The couple has yet to come clean about their romance, but after denying initial rumours of a romance, Simpson and Mayer have been spotted together at parties and intimate gatherings over Christmas.

The box-office bomb received seven nominations Monday for the Razzie Awards that mock the bottom of Hollywood's barrel, among them worst picture and worst actress of the year. Also receiving seven nominations was the Wayans brothers comedy "Little Man," about a thief posing as a baby, including worst picture and director for Keenen Ivory Wayans. Shawn and Marlon Wayans shared a worst-actor nomination, while sisters Hilary and Haylie Duff shared a worst-actress nomination for "Material Girls." "We stuck the siblings together to allow room for more dreck," said Razzies founder John Wilson. The other worst-picture nominees were the fantasies "BloodRayne" and "Lady in the Water" and the thriller "The Wicker Man." Winners will be announced Feb. 24, the day before the Academy Awards.
