Gwen Stefani and Kingston in London

Gwen Stefani and son Kingston, almost 8 months, were spotted taking a stroll in London. The family of three, including dad and husband, Gavin Rossdale are there to visit his relatives. Looks like Gwen has been experimenting with King's hair again! Kingston is wearing Trumpette's newest patterned socks in Pastel Camo for Baby Boys ($24 for a set of 6). They also come in Pastel Camo for Baby Girls as well as toddler socks ($6 each) and tights ($19.50). Trumpette baby socks (the ones that come in sets of 6) are supposed to fit 0-12 months but Anya has been able to wear them still. Many people say that Trumpette socks are the only socks that stay on their babies' feet. Of course, it's a completely different matter when your kid figures out how to pull them off!

Could Gwen Stefani and/or No Doubt play Coachella?

As some of you may have noticed, I'm new to the LAist family. I love music and I am happy to provide music listings several times a week. While reading through the archives I saw how Gwen Stefani announced dates to the first part of her tour and seemed to be skipping LA until the very end. That wouldn't appear suspicious if it weren't for a two-day break from April 25 until April 28. You say, "big deal, two days off, give the young mother a break"? We'd agree except for the fact that Gwen doesn't take two days off in a row any other time during her three month tour. In the comments of the post "Gwen Stefani Refuses to perform in LA on Current Tour", Tony speculates that perhaps she's going to participate in a KROQ Weenie Roast or some other event that has yet to be announced. Today I just happened to remember that there is a huge event happening the weekend of the 27th, namely Coachella. You might say Gwen is too popular for Coachella, which is meant for the more up-and-coming bands (for the most part), but when it comes to Coachella headliners, no one was more popular than Madonna, and those of us who survived the long delay and the heat in her tent last year were treated to a great performance.

Gwen Stefani: Madonna was my influence but not impressed

Gwen Stefani has revealed Madonna was less than impressed when Gwen revealed she was planning a retro feel to her latest solo album. Gwen told Elle magazine recently: “Madonna’s had us over for dinner and stuff, and she’s always been very nice to me.” “[But] I remember telling her I was going to do an ’80s dance record and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you’ve lived through it like she did, she’s like, ‘Whatever.’” “A lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox.”

Gwen Stefani: being pregnant and touring was harder than I thought

Gwen Stefani has revealed that keeping her pregnancy a secret then giving birth were a lot harder than she thought it would be. Gwen gave birth to her first child, Kingston, in May last year but has told Elle magazine it was awkward juggling the pressures of being pregnant while performing on an extensive solo tour. She told the magazine: “I thought I was going to be one of those Mother Nature girls. I figured, ‘I’ll just squeeze it out, ’cause I’m really strong and I work out and stuff.’” “I would be seriously crying before I went onstage. I didn’t know how I was going to get through the tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front of 12,000 people every night. And I didn’t want people to know [I was pregnant]. “I didn’t want to become The Gwen Freak Circus Show - watch it grow onstage. After weeks of rumours, Gwen eventually confirmed she was expecting at a show in Florida in December 2005 and asked the crowd to sing her song ‘Crash’ loudly enough for the unborn baby to hear their voices. And Kingston has been involved in Gwen’s musical world every since: “He goes with me everywhere, ’cause I’m still nursing. He’s been to every studio in L.A., New York, London.” “Kingston is so chill. He lives up to his name - total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you still have to stop to hang out with him.”

Gwen Stefani Addicted To Hit Songs

Gwen Stefani was desperate to get back in the studio after the birth of her son Kingston, because she didn't want to stop her lucky streak when it came to creating hit songs. The star hated the thought of slowing down her career and decided to get back to making music as soon as possible with producer Pharrell Williams.

She explains, "I'll never be as pure as I was when I wrote Tragic Kingdom. Once you've had a hit, there's no going back because it's so addictive. "It's a drug. I felt I was going back and getting more Pharrell, Hollaback Girl 2.

Gwen Stefani Says Madonna Influenced Her Music

Gwen Stefani insists there is no bad blood between her and Madonna and freely admits she has used the pop superstar as a role model throughout her career. Stefani admits the two have much in common, including Italian-American heritage and British husbands. She tells Elle magazine, "It is weird that we have all of these similarities. Madonna's had us over for dinner and stuff, and she's always been very nice to me." Stefani admits the singer seemed less-than-impressed when she first mentioned she was recording a solo album featuring dance tunes. She adds, "I remember telling Madonna I was going to do an '80s dance record and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you've lived through it like she did, she's like, 'Whatever.' But a lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox."

Gwen Stefani is So Cool!

Gwen Stefani is so cool & no one can argue that she's not! Her new album 'The Sweet Escape' is great & the two singles 'Wind it up' & 'The sweet escape' are perfect! The video of 'Wind it up' was so strange & out of this world ... a unique version of 'sound of music' mixed in with other robotic dolls & strange ideas! ... Gwen's 'The sweet escape' video has world premiered the other day & it's really exaggerated! I mean, it's so cool, it's exaggerated & it's perfect that way! The song features Akon as well, although he doesn't say much, but his being there is an addition in it's perfect place ...
