Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's superstitious wedding plans!

It looks like it's going to be a long engagement for Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs guard, Tony
Parker. Instead of rushing to the altar like many other celebrities, Eva and Tony are choosing to wait.
The NBA star popped the question in November, but Us Weekly claims that superstition has caused him
to delay any wedding plans until the summer.
According to the magazine, Parker is determined to marry on July 7. An insider said, "Tony is extremely
superstitious and thinks that 07-07-07 is the day most lucky to get married on." Perhaps adding to the
luck for the couple will be the wedding's location, which is rumored to be Château de Chantilly, in
Tony's home country of France. The 24-year-old chose France as the location for the ceremony because,
"Tony wants her to feel that it's her day as well as his and Eva's," said a source.
Us Weekly claims that Eva is planning a trip to France in February with her wedding planner, Mindy
Weiss. While they are there, they will settle on the flowers, menu and cake, along with Tony's mother.
One detail that is already in the works is Eva's dress, which will be designed by Monique Lhullier.
Lhullier also designed Britney Spears and "Lost's" Emilie de Ravin's wedding dresses. Both women are
now separated from their husbands, but luckily for Eva, Tony's not superstitious about that.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker plan to get married on the luckiest day of the year

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress will reportedly wed her fiancé on Saturday July 7, 2007, because the
basketball star wants to begin their married life together with a good omen.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Tony is extremely superstitious and thinks 07.07.07 is the day
most lucky to get married on."
Eva, 31, and French-born Tony, 24 - a point guard for the San Antonio Spurs - got engaged in
November after dating for around two years.
The couple are said to be planning to exchange vows at the Château de Chantilly, an idyllic castle north
of Paris.
It is also believed that Eva has asked French designer Monique Lhuillier to create her wedding dress.
The actress is expected to fly out to France with Tony's mother Paula, and wedding planner Mindy
Weiss next month, to finalise all the plans.
Another source said: "Tony wants his mother to feel that it's her day as well as Eva's."
However, Eva's representative has said: "She is still working out all the details. Nothing is confirmed."
This is the second marriage for Eva. She was previously married to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002
until 2004. This will be Tony's first union.

Eva Longoria Not Quitting 'Housewives,' Marrying Tony 7/7/07

Eva Longoria has rubbished rumors she is quitting 'Desperate Housewives'. Eva - who plays feisty
seductress Gabrielle Solis in the hit US series - was rumored to be planning to leave the show after series
three, but insists she has no intention of walking away from Wisteria Lane.
She told Britain's Arena magazine: "No way, we're contracted for the next seven years. A lot can happen
in a ten-year contract. You know how we all started and Marcia is married and had a baby, Nicollette is
engaged to someone else, I'm getting married. Still, it's going to be an interesting ten years."
Eva, 31, has also revealed she has started to become more like house proud 'Desperate Housewives'
character Bree Van De Kamp, played by Marcia Cross, since meeting her basketball player fiancé Tony
Parker.
She said: "I'm very Bree in my life now - I bake and I cook. Tony's a lucky guy."
Eva says Tony has also turned her into a wine expert.
She said: "My fiancé educates me on wine. I didn't care for wine before. But I'm not a big drinker. I
actually don't drink at all except for at dinner, occasionally I'll have a glass of wine."
