Beyonce Slips By Fall Out Boy To Remain Atop Hot 100

Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" begins an eighth week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 but barely edges out Fall Out
Boy's "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race," which debuts at No. 2 thanks to 162,000 digital
downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is the highest bow for a band since radio-only titles
joined the chart in December 1998.

The last group to start as well or better was Aerosmith, who debuted at No. 1 under prior Hot 100 rules
with "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" in September 1998. In addition, the download totals for "This Ain't
a Scene" are the largest opening-week tally for a group since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital
sales in 2003.

The song also soars 86-1 on the Pop 100, bumping "Irreplaceable" to No. 2. It is drawn from Fall Out
Boy's new album, "Infinity on High," which arrives Feb. 6 via Island Def Jam.

Back on the Hot 100, Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" reaches a new peak with a 4-3 climb, while Akon's
"I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg drops 2-4. Jim Jones' "We Fly High" is up 6-5, followed by
Daughtry's "It's Not Over," which rockets 21-6 and is the chart's greatest digital gainer. As reported
yesterday (Jan. 24), Daughtry's self-titled RCA debut ascended to No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in its
ninth chart week.

Fergie's "Fergalicious" drops 3-7, and Akon's "Smack That" featuring Eminem is down 5-8. The Fray's
"How To Save a Life" (7-9) and My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" (9-10) round
out the Hot 100's upper echelon.

At No. 14, Corbin Bleu debuts with "Push It to the Limit" from Disney's "Jump In!" soundtrack. The cut
also opens at No. 5 on Hot Digital Songs, having shifted 77,000 downloads. The next highest debut on
the Hot 100 is Nickelback's "If Everyone Cared" at No. 50.

"Irreplaceable" also loses footing on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, where it had spent nine weeks
at No. 1. For five of those, Ciara's "Promise" was in the runner-up spot, but this week at takes over atop
the tally, earning the artist her second solo No. 1 on the chart. She was also featured on Bow Wow's No.
1 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs hit, "Like You."

On Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, Hector "El Father" has the new No. 1 with "Sola," dethroning
Mana's "Bendita Tu Luz," which slips to No. 4. Rodney Atkins' "Watching You" remains No. 1 for a
second week on Hot Country Songs, while Rihanna's "We Ride" jumps 2-1 to rule the Hot Dance Music/
Club Play chart.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers begin a second week at No. 1 on the Modern Rock chart with "Snow (Hey
Oh)," while Three Days Grace is atop Mainstream Rock for a seventh with "Pain."

Beyonce's House Of Dereon Scores Deal With New Jersey Nets

Amid all the “Jayoncé” wedding rumors, it seems the Dream Girl and her hip hop entrepreneur beau have been involved in a more subtle courtship.

Deréon, the junior apparel collection of House of Deréon Knowles founded with her stylist mother Tina, has become the official clothier of the dancers for the New Jersey Nets—coincidentally enough, coowned by Jay-Z. The family affair extends to Deréon’s creative pair, who designed all the outfits the girls will don both on and off the court.

“I am thrilled to partner with the Nets,” said Knowles. “We truly enjoyed every step of the process.”

Designed to accommodate the girls’ active pursuits, fabrics like denim, stretch chiffon, and silk charmeuse were used for everything from halter tops to sequin-studded pants. And, for your inner dancer or the simply Beyoncé-obsessed, some of the outfits will be available for purchase in stores across the country.

Knowles, who has clothed Beyoncé throughout her career, said she drew upon her stage costume background during the creative process. “Because of our experience in designing the stage clothing for Beyoncé, and before that Destiny’s Child,” she recalled, “this partnership was such a natural fit for the Deréon brand.”

The collaboration has thus far been a success, according to the Nets organization. “It’s thrilling to be paired with such a fashion-forward clothing line such as Deréon,” said Petra Pope, senior director of entertainment and events marketing for Nets basketball. “Tina and Beyoncé have designed several stylish costumes for our Nets dancers, which have been well received by the fans.” Including the courtside couple themselves, who are regularly spotted attending home and away games together.

Diana meeting leaves Beyoncé star-struck

The 25-year-old star was so overwhelmed when she saw Diana Ross - who Beyoncé's Dreamgirls
character is loosely based on - that she was too nervous to speak to her.
Beyoncé told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I was so nervous, it was like she wasn't real.

"She is such a legend, and I had been studying her for so long, and suddenly she was right next to me.
"I was too nervous to say anything because I didn't know how she felt about the movie, but she told me
she was a big fan and wishes me luck. I felt I could breathe again."

Dreamgirls, which was inspired by the true story of 60s singing sensations Diana Ross and The

Supremes, is Beyoncé's biggest movie role to date.
The multi-talented star shot to fame with girl group Destiny's Child before having huge success as a solo
artist.

Beyoncé, whose is rumoured to be engaged to US rapper Jay-Z, is hoping Dreamgirls will be a real
boost for her movie career.

She also revealed she may focus on acting rather than singing in the future.
Beyoncé said: "After this movie, I feel that I'm an actor.
"If there's another movie like this that I'm able to be a part of, then I would be willing to put music to the
side."

Beyonce And Shakira Duet On New Song

Maira Oliveira - All Headline News Reporter
London, England (AHN) - Beyonce recently recorded a duet with Latin star Shakira and has opened up
about their collaboration together. The song, titled "Beautiful Liar," is set to appear on Beyonce's
reissued version of her 2006's album "B'Day."
Beyonce told MTV News that she was eager to work with the "Hips Don't Lie" singer because she
admires her talent.
She said, "I've always loved her and I've always wanted to work with her, and the song fits perfectly."
The 25-year-old also explained the concept of the new track, saying it's about two women coming
together and realizing they are wasting their time and energy fighting over a guy.
She explained, "It basically talks about two women; the same guy is trying to get at both of them but
instead of them fighting, they're saying 'He's a beautiful liar, let's not fight, let's stick together - forget
him!' I think it's a great concept."
The new album will also feature a DVD with five new videos, which Beyonce has begun working on.
According to the star, the videos will tell the "interpretations of the songs when they were written."
The singer is also set to embark on a world tour and will launch off her first concert date on April 21 in
Germany.
