Diamond Right Hand Rings Sparkle on Women and Child Orphan Projects Beyonce, who wore a spectacular 25-carat grey, yellow and white Diamond Right Hand Ring by diamond jeweler, Lorraine Schwartz is contributing $10,000 to Link-A-Child (linkachild.org), a project Beyonce personally visited. Link-A-Child is a not-for-profit organization that serves to care for the more than 7 million child orphans and motherless babies in Africa who are abandoned. The organization connects children to people who take care of them, and to potential corporate and individual donors who provide aid to orphanages in all 26 states in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Link-A-Child's belief is that, through generating proper public awareness, everyone will share in the moral vision to help rehabilitate these children by showing their support and ensuring they receive basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education to give these children a proper chance for a prosperous life and future. Jennifer Lopez, who also wore a 30-carat yellow Diamond Right Hand Ring by Lorraine Schwartz, has not yet disclosed which project her $10,000 will support. Details will be available shortly. Patricia Arquette wore a Platinum, Onyx and Diamond Right Hand Ring by diamond jeweler to the stars, Neil Lane. Patricia is donating the $10,000 generated to CARE International (care.org), a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. The organization places special focus working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. Women are at the heart of CARE's community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources. CARE also delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives. Diamond Jewelers to the Stars Passionate About Dressing Celebrities for Worthy Causes "It's a beautiful feeling to wear a magnificent Diamond Right Hand Ring and at the same time support these extremely important African causes," said Lorraine Schwartz, diamond jeweler based in New York. "I love being involved in the glitter and glamour of Hollywood during award season," said Neil Lane, owner of Neil Lane Jewelry in Los Angeles. "Being able to participate in a program that gives back makes what I do with diamonds all the more rewarding." The Diamond Right Hand Ring Tradition Over the course of the last four years, the Diamond Right Hand Ring has come to represent a woman's independence and prosperity and a symbol of a woman's brilliant accomplishments, personal success, freedom and power in the U.S. Raise Your Right Hand Ring for Africa is part of the diamond industry's ongoing efforts to raise star-powered support for important projects and causes that are vital to the continued prosperity of key diamond-producing nations around the world, particularly southern Africa. The DIC has invited Hollywood's leading female nominees and presenters to proudly wear a Diamond Right Hand Ring on this year's red carpet for any of the 2007 awards shows: Golden Globes, 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards or Academy Awards. A $10,000 donation will be granted in their name to a special project or cause of their choice benefiting Africa. The diamond industry hopes Hollywood's leading ladies will help generate up to $100,000 in donations for important social projects or causes in Africa during the 2007 award season.

Beyonce, Fall Out Boy lead U.S. singles chart

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" led the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts for an eighth consecutive week Thursday, but barely edged the new single from Fall Out Boy. The pop punk band's "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race" debuted at No. 2 thanks to 162,000 digital downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is the highest bow for a band since radio-only titles joined the chart in December 1998. The last group to start as well or better was Aerosmith, who debuted at No. 1 under prior Hot 100 rules with "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" in September 1998. In addition, the download totals for "This Ain't a Scene" are the largest opening-week tally for a group since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital sales in 2003.

The song is drawn from Fall Out Boy's new album, "Infinity on High," which arrives February 6 via Island Def Jam. "Irreplaceable," meanwhile, becomes the longest-running chart-topper that advanced to pole position in 2006. It is also the third Beyonce single to remain No. 1 for eight weeks or longer, after "Crazy in Love" (eight weeks) and "Baby Boy" (nine weeks). As a member of Destiny's Child, Beyonce also had a No. 1 song that remained at the summit for 11 weeks: "Independent Women Part I." Elsewhere, Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" climbed one to a new high of No. 3, while R&B singer Akon's "I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg dropped two to No. 4. Jim Jones' "We Fly High" was up one to No. 5, followed by albums chart-topperDaughtry's "It's Not Over," which rocketed 15 to No. 6. Fergie's "Fergalicious" fell four to No. 7, and Akon's "Smack That" featuring Eminem was down three to No. 8. The Fray's "How To Save a Life" (down two to No. 9) and My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" (down one to No. 10) rounded out the Hot 100's upper echelon.

Beyonce Keeps Charging Fall Out Boy From The Top

Beyonce is proving to be untouchable at the top of the US pop charts after landing an eighth successive
week at number one.
The former Destiny's Child star's hit Irreplaceable stunned chart watchers when it became the only
record to keep Fall Out Boy's This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race from the top.
More than 160,000 downloads landed the punk pop group's new release at number two on the new
Billboard chart.
But Fall Out Boy won't be complaining - their impressive debut is the highest bow for a band on the
chart since Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing crashed in to the top spot way back in 1998.
Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado's Say It Right rises to number three.

Beyonce No. 1; Fall Out Boy Debut No. 2

Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" was irreplaceable as the No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 for the eighth
straight week.
Beyonce edged out Fall Out Boy's "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race," debuting at No. 2. The
debut, thanks to 162,000 digital downloads, was the highest for a band since radio-only titles joined the
chart in December 1998, Nielsen SoundScan said.
Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" moved up from fourth to third, while Akon's "I Wanna Love You"
featuring Snoop Dogg dropped from No. 2 to No. 4.

Jim Jones' "We Fly High" moved from No. 6 to No. 5. "American Idol" alum Chris Daughtry's "It's Not
Over," which zoomed from No. 21 to No. 6, is the chart's greatest digital gainer.
Fergie's "Fergalicious" dropped from third to seven, and Akon's "Smack That" featuring Eminem
tumbled from fifth to eight.
Dropping from seventh to ninth was The Fray's "How To Save a Life." My Chemical Romance's
"Welcome to the Black Parade" slipped from ninth to 10th to round out the top singles on the Hot 100.
