We did stay in a one-room shack in the middle of the Cambodian jungle because nobody else was there. But when you have kids, especially a six-month-old baby, you need clean water and salad for them." A quick freshen up at the Shutters on the Beach hotel in Santa Monica, California, is perfectly acceptable, even if it costs $700 (Baht 24,500). Angelina and her son Maddox popped into the lush boutique style ocean-front accommodation but had no plans of holidaying.

A source at the hotel told Star magazine about the celebrity encounter: "Angelina said they only wanted the room for two hours, time enough for them both to take a shower. She was very sweet and seemed like a concerned mom."

The hotel employee, like most of us, found the whole thing very strange: "It was just very bizarre, when she and Brad Pitt own two houses here in Los Angeles, that she would need to spend that kind of money on a hotel room just so she and Maddox could shower."

Granted, it's a very nice bathroom, but that's one pricey shower! I hope they had a nice view! Rooms at the luxury hotel during this time start at $470 for a room without an ocean view and go all the way up to $1100 (for a presidential suite). They probably got a Full Ocean View King for $750.

In an interview with Newsweek's "Hollywood Confidential column Brad talks about his early experiences with exotic dancers.
