Angelina Jolie Visits Vietnam, Dad Brad Pitt Babysits

Angelina Jolie has taken time out from settling into her new home in New Orleans, Louisiana, to fly to
Vietnam to promote economic development.
The actress traveled to the Asian country to attend a meeting on behalf of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project
(MJP), a charity formed to aid her five-year-old son's native country of Cambodia.

According to MJP executive director Stephan Bognar, he and Jolie met with officials from the
International Finance Corporation's Mekong Private Sector Development Facility, a privately funded
World Bank initiative that promotes economic development in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
The Mrs & Mrs Smith star is particularly interested in a project to help subsistence farmers grow and
sell bamboo, a business that Bognar says could increase their monthly income from $25 (£13) to $300
(£154). Bamboo crops also filter toxins from water and help stem soil erosion.
Jolie's partner, Brad Pitt, was unable to make the trip and stayed with the couple's kids in New Orleans,
where he is currently filming The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. (c) WENN

Angelina Jolie's Lover Brad Pitt: "Strippers Changed My Life"

Brad Pitt has revealed to the world that he owes his career to strippers. Angelina Jolie's man, 43, used to
drive strippers around until it led him to his career in acting, according to Newsweek.
Interwiewers for the mag asked Pitt, "What’s the strangest job you’ve ever had?"
Pitt answered, "I had a job driving strippers around."

"Yeah, my job was to drive them to bachelor parties and things. I'd pick them up, and at the gig I'd
collect the money, play the bad Prince tapes and catch the girls' clothes. It was not a wholesome
atmosphere, and it got very depressing."
The night Brad decided to quit the job was the night he paved the road for his future career in acting.
"After two months I went in to quit, and the guy said, 'Listen, I've got this one last gig tonight.' So I did
it, and this girl—I'd never met her before—was in an acting class taught by a man named Roy London [a
famous acting coach]. I went and checked it out, and it really set me on the path to where I am now."

Angelina Jolie Stops Off in Vietnam

Just one half of Brangelina escaped the cold this weekend and skipped out on playoff football games, taking a quick surprise trip to Vietnam.

Reports say that Angie arrived solo on Friday morning in Ho Chi Minh City, sparking rumors that she and Brad Pitt plan on adopting from Vietnam. The two visited Vietnam together back in November, when they were snapped riding a motorcycle through the city together (not usually so easy for the first-time tourist) and reportedly stayed at the Park Hyatt Hotel.

According to People, Angelina was there to make an appearance on behalf of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project, the charity she founded to aid son Maddox's birthplace, Cambodia. HCM City seems to be turning into one of her favorite destinations in the region--but does Jolie read Noodlepie?

Hollywood Buzz: Shawn Hornbeck, Michael Devlin, American Idol, Paula Abdul, Angelina Jolie

In attempts to find out the real deal when it comes to what Shawn Hornbeck (15), and 13-year-old Ben Ownby's alleged creepy, "child-spirit crusher" abductor, Michael Devlin (41), was thinking, a journalist from the New York Post, Susannah Cahalan, tricked jail officials and got in to speak to him on Friday and Sunday.

Presenting herself as a "family friend," Cahalan sat down with Devlin and began asking him about the kidnappings, which terrorized both the boys and their grief-stricken families.

"I don't know how I'm going to explain myself to my parents," Devlin told the Post at the Franklin County jail in Union, Mo. "It's much easier talking to a stranger about these things than your own parents."

Ben Ownby was snatched when he got off a school bus on January 8 in Beaufort, Mo., and it was a schoolmate's tip about a white pickup that led authorities to Devlin's apartment in Kirkwood, Mo., where they found both Ben and Shawn (who had been missing since 2002).

However, despite all of this, Devlin pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of kidnapping Ben and is yet to enter a plea in the Shawn Hornbeck case. Unbelievable!

On Friday's interview, Devlin seemed "red-eyed" and down during the interview but his spirits were more "upbeat" on Sunday, according to the New York Post.

"I feel nothing," said Devlin. "I hide my emotions from other people. I hide the way I feel."

In 2002, Devlin did say he started losing contact with friends. "I guess you could say I was lonely. All my friends started getting married and having kids."

Although he wouldn't say much under advisement from his lawyers, when they (Michael Kielty and Ethan Corlija) discovered he had said anything at all, they criticized jail security for letting the media in to see their client.

"I don't care if she's [Cahalan] a reporter for the New York Post, or the milkman, the fact that she can get in is a big deal," said Corlija.

Now... Franklin County officials plan to investigate how Cahalan got access to Devlin. Stay tuned...

In other news, there has been talk about the American Idol judges being "too cruel" to contestants this season. However, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson deny these reports.

"If you don't want to hear that, don't show up," Cowell told reporters at the Television Critics Association conference Saturday.

And I must say, I think they were pretty cruel every season so I don't personally get what the hype is about this time around.

Speaking of hype, Abdul denies all the flying rumors that she has been drunk or on drugs while promoting American Idol.

"I've never been drunk. I'm not under the influences of anything," Abdul told the New York Times.

Paying a visit to Vietnam last week was Angelina Jolie on behalf of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project. According to People magazine, The Good Shepherd star is focusing on helping subsistence farmers grow and sell bamboo, an endeavor that could raise their monthly income.

Finally, Rage Against the Machine is reuniting to perform at the 2007 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Beauty Angelina Jolie has revealed that she is not a big fan of showing her emotions.
The mother of three said, ‘I'm not a hugger. People make fun of me. It's something that I have a hard
time with.
' If someone hugs me, I hold my breath. Snuggling, cuddling, hugging, crying - all that stuff makes me
very uncomfortable’.

"I've often been accused of not talking about my personal things. I mean, even with Brad. He usually has
to draw something out of me.
Let's hope she's a little more open to affections with her children.

Pitt Project, People magazine says.
The project's executive director Stephan Bognar said that he and Jolie were in Vietnam meeting with

The actress attended the meeting as a representative of the project, her charity aiding Cambodia.

Brad Pitt and Jolie, along with their children Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh were back in New Orleans,
