Aishwarya Rai or Angelina Jolie: Who's Hotter

Hollywood or Bollywood? The most important story in the world today is Aishwarya Rai, former Miss World and the only woman who could potentially challenge Angelina Jolie for the title of World's Most Beautiful Woman, has officially announced her engagement to Abhishek Bachchan, a guy few people outside of India have ever heard of.

Aish Rai is a stunningly beautiful creature whose ultimate perfection brings to mind what Helen of Troy must have looked like back in her day, and whose face has sold millions of dollars worth of every conceivable bit of merchandise, from diamonds for the Nakshatra collection of diamond jewelry and Diamond Trading Corp to Coca Cola and Pepsi. That's right, even Pepsi Co was convinced to put aside their own longstanding corporate rivalry with Coke in order to grace their advertisements with the face of Ash Rai.

So the critical question that every person in the world is now asking: how does Aishwarya Rai compare to Angelina Jolie?

Ms. Rai has been compared to a Hindi-speaking Elizabeth Taylor, was recently featured as a Hindu goddess in national advertising, and just announced her marriage to a butt-ugly guy who no one has ever heard of but who has a lot of money.

Angelina Jolie is a multimillion-dollar earning top actress, a UN Ambassador and mother of three, and is almost married to Brad Pitt.

Aishwarya Rai has large, puckering lips, so does Angelina Jolie, and both Jolie-Pitt and Rai-Bachchan have gigantic, greenish eyes.

Aishwara Rai and Angelina Jolei are also brunettes, considered perfect human beings by their fans, and are credited with getting their guy from another woman's clutches... but, Aish's husband-to-be Abhishek is the son of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, while Brad Pitt's parents are farmers from a Bible belt state. Score: 1 for Aish

Brad Pitt totally destroys Bachchan in the looks department however, and is the undisputed hottest guy in America despite George Clooney's 10-years-too-late efforts to grab the title. Score: 1 for Jolie

Aishwarya Rai's new movie Guru tells the story of how Indian villager Gurukant Desai became one of India's leading entrepreneurs, while Angelina Jolie's latest movie The Good Shepherd tells about the complex and convoluted creation of the CIA. Score: tie

Even though four children have died of AIDS in Africa during the time it took you to read this article, isn't it great to think about how beautiful these two celebrity women are? What if they met each other and fell in love? Would Brad Pitt or Abishek Bachchan even have a chance in this highly unlikely yet awe-inspiring scenario?

Stay tuned, celeb watchers! There's more critically important news on its way from the world of whose hotter: Angelina Jolie and Aishwarya Rai...

India turns to astrologers to find out about Aishwarya Rai-Abishek Bachchan match

Mumbai, Jan. 16 (AP): Now that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, two of Bollywood's brightest
stars, have announced their engagement, attention in India is turning to what celestial luminaries have to
say about the pending union.
Some astrologers are predicting the most auspicious time for a wedding (anytime before October)
between the former Miss World and Bachchan, the son of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchcan. Others
are speculating about how Rai, believed to have been born under an unlucky sign, can thwart her fate
and find lasting love (difficult, but not impossible).
The couple got engaged in a private ceremony on Sunday, and like most traditional Hindus, astrologers
were consulted to see if the two were a suitable match before rings were exchanged.
The couple has not set a date for the wedding, but astrologer Sanjay B. Jumaani was quoted as saying in
Tuesday's edition of the Times of India News paper that it was auspicious for them to marry before
prospective father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan's birthday in October, but not after Rai's birthday in
November.
Rai has also participated in a number of religious ceremonies in recent months in a bid to overcome the
fact that she is considered an unlucky match for Bachchan.
According to Hinduism, Rai is a ``mangalik,'' or someone with Mars in her horoscope.
``This indicates a propensity towards danger to life, unhappiness at home, divorce or separation,
sickness, loss of business or hotheadedness,'' celebrated astrologer Jajgit Uppal told the Hindustan Times
News paper.
In November, Rai's and Bachchan's families made offerings at a temple in the Hindu holy city of
Varanasi, an act reportedly intended to appease Mars.
Two weeks before the engagement, Rai and her mother visited a Hindu temple at another holy town,
Pushkar. Temple priest Sri Sompuriji was quoted as saying by the Mumbai Mirror News paper that Rai
was given a prayer chant or ``mantra'' to repeat to make her dreams come true.
However, Uppal warned these measures might not be enough.
``Couples fulfill these (ceremonies) for peace of mind. But classical astrologers believe you cannot be
the arbiter of destiny,'' he told the paper, adding that it was better if a ``mangalik'' married another.

By Lokendra Singh

Jaipur, Jan.16 (ANI): While the people across the country delighted to learn Bollywood hearththrobs Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan soon going to tie the nuptial knot, a Jaipur artist is all set to dazzle everyone by making 25 sculptures of Aish.

Arjun Prajapathi, 49, the sculptor claims that he felt inspired to create different moods of the former Miss World Aishwarya after he got a mind flash while being asleep. It's been two months now since he started turning that dream into a reality.

"A lady came into my dreams for 25 days and asked me to make 25 sculptures of Aishwarya Rai which will be a milestone in my career. And, I am just making it a reality by completing 25 sculptures of Aishwarya Rai. The sculptures will showcase Aishwarya in various poses and different moods," Prajapati said.

Every day Prajapati works for 10 hours along with his three sons to fulfil his dream. He wants to complete the work by June. He is using special clay from Haryana and Delhi to enhance the beauty of the work.

Prajapati hopes to hold an exhibition of his works in Mumbai, the film city of the country. He also plans to gift one sculpture to Aishwarya Rai.

"First, I make the model from clay and then die it with plaster, followed by a casting with fiber glass and then we paint it. I will hold an exhibition in Mumbai and would request Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai to inaugurate it and then gift one sculpture to Aishwaryaji," says Prajapati.
