Nicole Kidman Treated and Released Following AccidentActress Nicole Kidman, wife of Keith Urban, was treated and released from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following a Wednesday night (Jan. 24) automobile accident while filming a scene for her upcoming science fiction movie, The Invasion. The accident occurred in downtown Los Angeles while Kidman was behind the wheel of a Jaguar that was being pulled by a camera rig to make it appear that she was driving the vehicle. The car hit a light pole when the rig skidded while making a turn at 45 mph. Seven others, including stuntmen and cameramen, were also taken to hospitals for examination and were released. Kidman spent approximately two hours in the emergency room. The truck was travelling around the corner about 70km/h when it lost control in wet conditions. Stuntmen hung on for dear life as the trailer hurtled towards the pole. They were flung everywhere at the point of impact on the driver's side. But the real concern was for KIDMAN, who hit her head and was trapped inside the car on top of the trailer. Emergency workers freed the Oscar winner, who was escorted from the scene by her minders and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre. The drama was not over though, as one of KIDMAN'S assistants saw red when she noticed people filming the sequence. The assistant quickly sprung into action, yelling at the cameramen before covering their lenses to block their view of the action. According to US Weekly, KIDMAN'S husband, Grammy winner KEITH URBAN, and 11-year-old son, CONNOR CRUISE, were on set when trouble struck. No other actors were involved in the scene at the time of the accident. However, Warner Bros said two crew members received minor injuries.
