Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan Checks Into Rehab"I'm so proud of her. She's really in a good place right now, spiritually and mentally," Dina said in a statement given to Star magazine. "She's in an amazing, phenomenal place. She's 20 and she's solid, and she's doing what she needs to do. I don't know that many people who are that secure. It's all about her, and getting back on track. She's fine ? she's amazingly fine." A publicist confirmed to The ShowBuzz on Wednesday that Lohan checked into a rehab facility. "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time," the 20-year-old actress said in a statement Wednesday through her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick. Us Weekly reports that Lohan entered the posh Wonderland Center in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, arriving in a sports utility vehicle and clutching a Jamba Juice. The news follows reports that Lohan partied at a Golden Globes party until 6 a.m. at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Zelnick confirmed to The Associated Press in December that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Lohan told People magazine then that she had been going to the meetings for a year. "I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything," she said to People. "I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull." On Christmas Eve, she partied at Lotus, one of the hottest nightclubs in New York City. But a source told The ShowBuzz that the "Bobby" star didn't have one drop of booze. Lohan was spotted with a group of friends, including Brittney Gastineau, the former star of "Gastineau Girls" and "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive." "She came in at 11:30 with Brittney and three other guys ? it was clearly nothing romantic ? they were escorted to banquettes that's on the main floor," the source said. "Anytime Lindsay comes in, that's where she will go. Her friends shared a bottle of vodka, but she even told the manager that she wasn't drinking." "We've seen Lindsay Lohan, for years, partying out of control. She's been often seen drinking, she's been with several men. She was a young woman who clearly wasn't in control of her life," Us Weekly's Dina Sansing said on The Early Show Thursday. Last July, Lohan was treated for several hours at a Los Angeles area hospital for overheating and dehydration on the set of "Georgia Rule." Sansing said that a rehab stint may nix future high profile movie deals for Lohan. "It's really been a crazy couple years for her ? for years Lindsay has been using lots of excuses, she's been in and out of the hospital, she's delayed working on set. Now that you see her in rehab, you have to wonder if those were real," Sansing said. "Executives are seeing this and saying, 'Well, she obviously has a problem. Do we want to hire her for this movie?' It's really going to be tough for her." The actress, whose other screen credits include "Mean Girls," "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Freaky Friday," recently had surgery to remove her appendix. She's up for a SAG award as part of the ensemble cast of "Bobby." Lindsay Lohan’s Mom Speaks OutLos Angeles (eCanadaNow) - Earlier this week, actress Lindsay Lohan checked herself into a rehab facility and now her mom is speaking out on her behalf. Dina Lohan told People Magazine that Lindsay is fine and is proud of her daughter’s strength. Lindsay’s mom also says that “everything is under control” but hopes the paparazzi will stop following her daughter everywhere. “I’m doing so great, thanks,” the troubled actress told OK Magazize a day after admitting herself to rehab. “I’m fine,” she added. “Nothing to worry about. Thank you so much for checking in, I do appreciate it. I’m actually watching American Idol at the moment and laughing so hard!” It seems denial runs in the family. Lindsay Lohan Enters RehabLOS ANGELES (January 18, 2007) -- Lindsay Lohan has checked herself into rehab, Access Hollywood has confirmed. Lindsay's released the following statement to Access through her rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik: "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time." Lindsay checked into Wonderland Center at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, donning black tights and a leather jacket – with Jamba Juice in hand. Just hours after entering the facility, O.K. Magazine spoke to Lindsay on the phone. Lindsay said she was doing great, saying "I'm actually watching 'American Idol' at the moment and laughing so hard!" Just three nights ago, Lindsay hit up the post-Golden Globe parties in Hollywood. Later in the night, she reportedly passed out drunk at Prince's bash. Back in 2004, an 18-year-old Lindsay denied any drug use. "People are going to think I'm this crazy girl and everything and they've said I've danced on tables and everything. It's just so silly," she said. "If they write I'm doing drugs and stuff, that's stupid. I know I don't do that. I have a sister and a family. I know that from personal family experience and I've seen other people go through that. I know better than that.: But as she shed pounds, she gained problems, which really began in October 2004 with a hospitalization for exhaustion – followed by a sprained ankle, an asthma attack, stitches in her leg and a sliced finger in April 2006. Paparazzi run-ins became regular occurrences for Lindsay and when she was hospitalized once again in July 2006 for heat exhaustion on the set of "Georgia Rule," the movie's producer sent Lohan a scathing letter reprimanding her partying. "We really take it with a grain of salt," Lindsay's mom Dina told Access Hollywood. But while Lindsay's mom wasn't concerned, her co-star Jane Fonda was. "I just want to take her in my arms and hold her until she's grown up," Fonda said. Late in 2006, a 20-year-old Lindsay admitted to attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and just two weeks ago after having her appendix removed, Lindsay was out partying that very night. Now, just 13 days later, Lindsay has checked herself into Wonderland.
