Now, more than a year and a half after undergoing surgery for the cancer, Kylie Minogue has made her triumphant return to the UK. In 2005, after Kylie Minogue had completed the European leg of her "Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour", Minogue returned to Melbourne, Australia, where she was diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing her to withdraw from the Glastonbury Festival. Minogue underwent surgery for her cancer on May 21, 2005, and after the long road to recovery, Kylie began her "Showgirl - Homecoming Tour" in Sydney, Australia on November 11, 2006. Now, on New Year's Eve, Kylie Minogue returned to Britain to give a revamped "Showgirl" concert to 12,000 fans at Wembley Arena. Minogue's performance at Wembley marks her triumphant return to the UK stage after a year and a half of recovery. The rest of Kylie's stay in England will feature six more dates to be played at Wembley Arena, and six other dates in Manchester. The 13-date engagement in the UK will be a test to see if Minogue has fully regained all of her pre-cancer energy in order to perform so many shows away from home. If her first concert was any indication, Minogue should have a full head of steam ready to go, as she dazzled fans with new and classic hits as well as a phenomenal six wardrobe changes.
