Gwen Stefani Does Elle Magazine

Gwen Stefani graces the cover of Elle Magazine and in the magazine the hot momma discusses her pregnancy, her son Kingston and her relationship with her hubbie, Gavin Rossdale.

Gwen Stefani has confessed that touring while she was pregnant made her cry.

The 'Wind It Up' singer continued to play live for a short time while she was expecting son Kingston but admits it took its toll on her emotionally. She said in an interview with Elle magazine: "I would be seriously crying before I went onstage. I didn't know how I was going to get through the tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front of 12,000 people every night. And I didn't want people to know I was pregnant. I didn't want to become the Gwen Freak Circus Show - 'Watch it grow onstage.'" Gwen - who is married to British rocker Gavin Rossdale - also admits she found the birth a lot harder than she expected it to be. She added: "I thought I was going to be one of those Mother Nature girls. I figured, I'll just squeeze it out, 'cause I'm really strong and I work out and stuff. But it was tough." Gwen, 37, announced she was pregnant during an American concert in Fort Lauderdale in December 2005. She gave birth to Kingston On May 26, 2006.

Gwen Stefani Touts Baby Kingston: He's Rad!

Gwen Stefani looks fabulous in this months edition of Elle Magazine and the new mom and sweet singer dishes on everything in an interview. She divulges that her marriage isn't perfect, but after ten years with Gavin Rossdale it is solid. “I mean, of course me and Gavin have problems, sometimes. Everyone does. We’ve been together for over 10 years. This is, like, the real deal,” she says.

The proud parent also gives props to the little one - she hypes up baby Shiloh's play date baby Kingston. Us Weekly has some of the photos here and some excerpts that include her talking about the baby. “He’s pretty rad…Kingston is so chill. He goes with me everywhere, ’cause I’m still nursing. He’s been to every studio in L.A., New York, London. He lives up to his name – total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you have to stop to hang out with him.” *** According to the report from the weekly entertainment magazine she also talks about Madonna as well: “It’s weird that we have all these similarities. Madonna’s had us over to dinner and stuff. She’s always been very nice to me…I remember telling Madonna I was going to do an 80s dance record and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you’ve lived through it like she did, she’s like ‘Whatever.’ But a lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox.” She also talks about her pregnancy: “I thought I was going to be one of those Mother Nature girls. I figured, I’ll just squeeze it out, ’cause I’m really strong and I work out and stuff.

Quotes by Jessica Simpson, Gwen Stefani & More

"I've almost had my license taken away because I ran so many red lights. But it was worth it. Everybody was safe, I must add. I haven't killed anyone." Avoid crossing the road when pop star Jessica Simpson's behind the wheel. "Of course me and Gavin have problems, sometimes. Everyone does. We've been together for over 10 years. (But) this is, like, the real deal." Gwen Stefani discusses married life with Gavin Rossdale. "It's a very sad experience for anyone, and it's not fun when people decide to capitalize on it." Renee Zellweger admits she found the scrutiny surrounding her marriage break-up tough to take. "I don't do nudity. The last time I did it was for The Last Picture Show. I don't want to scare anybody." Actress Cybill Shepherd hasn't stripped on screen since her 1971 movie debut.

Gwen Stefani: The Sweet Escape; Emma Bunton: Life In Mono

GWEN Stefani exudes glamour. Reeking of Forties Hollywood panache and style, Stefani looks scintillating on the catwalk. But don't be fooled by the delicious photo images on the album sleeve. The Sweet Escape is absolute pants. No doubt, Stefani was attempting to replicate the sales of her previous LP, Love, Angel, Music, Baby, but this calculated creation comes over more as contrived than crafted. Indeed, the use of The Lonely Goatherd on Wind It Up sounds lazy and uninspired in the wake of her previous sample of If I Was A Rich Man.

Gwen Stefani tells Elle about her pregnancy

In the February 2007 issue of Elle magazine, Gwen Stefani talked about the difficulty of being pregnant with son Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, 7 months old, while out on tour. She says she thought it would be a lot easier than it was. However, she found how even a "normal," healthy pregnancy takes a physical toll on the body. The overload of hormones can make you act more emotional than you normally are. Gwen said, "I would be seriously crying before I went onstage. I didn't know how I was going to get through the tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front of 12,000 people every night. And I didn't want people to know (I was pregnant). I didn't want to become the Gwen Freak Circus Show – 'Watch it grow onstage.' " Of the fruit of her (literal) labors, she says "Kingston is so chill. He goes with me everywhere, 'cause I'm still nursing. He's been to every studio in L.A., New York, London. He lives up to his name – total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you still have to stop to hang out with him," she says.

The sound of motherhood is music to Gwen Stefani's ears

If you're not a fan of Broadway or Hollywood musicals, you might have heard Gwen Stefani's current single, Wind It Up, and wondered: What's up with the yodeling? Those in the know recognized the reference to The Lonely Goatherd, a song from The Sound of Music. Stefani is a die-hard fan of the film version and its star, Julie Andrews. Like Andrews' character, the fledgling nun-turned-governess-turned-wife and stepmother Maria von Trapp, "I'm a Catholic girl who sings and sews," says Stefani, 37. "So there's a lot about her that I can relate to." advertisement That now includes maternal responsibilities. In May, Stefani and her husband, British rocker Gavin Rossdale, 41, welcomed Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, who since has bonded with his mother's sizable support staff. "There's this huge team of us always hanging out together, so he gets to see the same people every day," Stefani says. "And he's this very cool, chilled-out little guy. He's just like another person, except that he's supercute and superentertaining." Kingston was in the studio while his mother recorded her second solo CD, The Sweet Escape, which entered the charts at No. 3. Though bested by R&B ingenue Ciara and a showcase for Eminem proteges, it sold more copies in its first week than its predecessor, 2004's multiplatinum Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The No Doubt frontwoman hadn't planned on releasing a follow-up to Love so quickly, or returning to the road next spring for another tour. She attributes her energy to breast-feeding: "I'm still nursing, and I think it gives you superhuman powers."
